Fi Sabeel Allah (فی سبیل اللّٰہ)

This is a general term which is used in the sense of every action, work, attempt and effort etc., to be done ‘in the way of Allah’ and ‘for the sake of Allah’. Some scholars are of the opinion that it only refers to Jihad i.e., sacred fighting in the way of Allah but it is not the only way which might be included in the umbrella of this term. It implies to all those activities that are made to counter the conspiracies and strategies of the disbelievers, to exalt the word of Allah, to establish the Islamic system of life, or to all those actions which are done commonly to attain the consent and love of God like charity for different purposes etc.
