Mursal Hadith (حدیث مرسل)

A hadith in which a narrator does not quote the complete chain of narration. While narrating this hadith, the narrator skips one or more of the narrators mentioned in the chain and quotes Prophet Muhammad sym-9 directly. It is of three types:

  1. Mursal of a Companion of the Holy Prophetsym-9.
  2. Mursal of Taab'i or Tab'e Taab'i.
  3. Mursal of the People who came after Taab'i or Tab'e Taab'i.
